This usually occurs when there is a network lag between our service (leveraging Twilio Verify) and your cellular carrier. These lags tend to be short term overall, but can be a nuisance when you are looking to log in.
When we get the error message you presented it is because you did an initial login which requested the 2FA code and then try to login again before the code arrives. This makes the first code you receive null and void. Thus when you receive your code it is usually from the first login attempt and will be denied. Our suggestion is to login and give the code up to two minutes to arrive before trying login again.
These network congestion issues are usually temporary.
