The HaloPSA integration will allow you to share information between vCIOToolbox and HaloPSA.  Current integrations include:

 

  • Import HaloPSA customers
  • Import HaloPSA customer contacts
  • Create tickets and track status of each ticket created
  • Create Opportunities from the vCIOToolbox created recommendations.
  • Import Assets (*Note: Asset information is limited by the Halo PSA API, Halo expects to enhance their API to supply additional information in Q1 2022)

 

To set up your integration with HaloPSA you will need the following information from your PSA instance.

 

  • API URL
  • Auth URL
  • Client ID
  • Client Secret
  • PSA Tenant

Creating a HaloPSA API Account for use with vCIOToolbox



 

1. Enter each value in vCIOToolbox (Left Hand Menu > Integrations > Settings > HaloPSA)

*Note: If you test connection fails, please add /token to your Auth URL as noted below

2.  Test your connection and set up your sync settings by navigating to Left Hand Menu > Integrations > HaloPSA Sync and set your default ticket type, status, and sales rep.

3. Once all variables are set you will see the sync control panel

4. Sync Accounts by clicking on the sync accounts button

5. Once accounts are synced, you can then activate synced customers for use in vCIOToolbox

 

Left Hand Menu > Customers

 

From the Filter menu:

 

  1. Search by Name (3 letters required), or
  2. Change the state to “Show All” 

 

6. This will display your vCIOToolbox inactive accounts. You can then activate account(s).

7. Once you have activated your customer, you can revisit the Halo Sync (Left Hand Menu > Integrations > HaloPSA Sync) and then sync Assets, Opportunities, and Contacts.

 

*Note: Assets and Contacts can only be synced after a customer is activated.

8. The final step is to map your asset type fields for use in vCIOToolbox. From the HaloPSA Sync click on “Sync Asset Type Fields”.

9. You will be presented with a mapping screen. Select the VCIOToolbox matching Attribute for your Halo Asset Type Field. Recommendation denoted with an **
