Asset policies help you automate the process of managing asset lifecycle.  The policy sync will look at attributes of your asset and based on predefined rules determine when the system or service will need to be replaced.


1. To add asset policies to a client navigate to the customer and launch the IT Review.  Once inside the customer review navigate to the More button on the main menu.  This will launch a drop down and choose Asset Policies.



2. Upon landing on the policy page, click Add to select the IT Asset Policies you wish to apply to your customer.



3. Once your policies are applied your can run the Policy Sync command.  This will inspect all assets, look up their attributes vs. the defined policies, and create recommendations where required.



4. The command will generate a log which will show you what actions were taken again each rule (for informationational purposes)



5. Once complete, your new recommendations can be amanaged and applied to your roadmap from the customer review by navigating to Recommendations > Manage Recommendations. Inside this control panel you can sort assets oldest to newest, show/hide from the roadmap, and create and opportunity in your PSA.
