In Datto RMM


  1. Navigate to Setup > Global Settings > Access Control.
  2. Turn on the Enable API Access toggle.




  1. Navigate to Setup > Users, and click the username that you would like to enable API access for.
  2. Click Generate API Keys to generate an API Key and an API Secret Key for this user.



NOTE  The API URL field is added to the individual user page once API keys have been generated for the user.

  1. The API Key and the API Secret Key will be displayed. These keys will be used for authentication when making requests. Make a note of these somewhere safe.


  1. Click Save User.


IMPORTANT  You can select API-related columns from the Column Chooser on the Setup > Users page. Refer to Column Chooser - Users.


7. Enter the integration set up in vCIOToolbox by navigating to QBR or GRC > Integrations > Settings > Datto RMM



Placement may be different in your Integration Settings.




8. Enter your API URL, API Key and API Secret



9.  Once configured, navigate to Integrations > Dattto RMM sync and  and then map your accounts.  Once mapped sync assets.




10. Validate the assets in an Active company inside of vCIOToolbox.
