There are 3 internal user roles and one external user role in the system today. The roles are defined as follows:
Administrator: This role has full access to the entire vCIOToolbox platform. Administrative access includes elevated rights for the following:
- Global Template Access and template creation and modification.
- Access to the Asset Policy Manager including the ability to modify pre-built asset policies and create new rules and policies if required.
- Access to setup and management of all integrations including triggering of a manual sync of all integrated platforms (the system does nightly syncs).
- Ability to modify the customer record including logos and report colors.
- Access to system settings including email template construction, category modification and the report designer.
- All permissions found in the employee and manager roles.
Manager: The manager is an elevated version of the employee role and is often assigned to Executive, Managerial, or vCIO resources. This level includes the following rights.
- Customer Activation and Deletion.
- Recommendation Management.
- All other permissions found in the employee role.
Employee: This role should be assigned to engineers and junior vCIO resources. It is limited to a contributor role and can participate in the creation and updating of the IT Assessment, Security Assessment, and Roadmap. It cannot delete records within vCIOToolbox and has limited recommendation creation capability.
